Show like Dragnet, Ozzie and Harriet, Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, Wild Bill Hickok, Have Gun Will Travel, and You Bet Your Life were all originally radio shows. In the early years of TV, the networks hedged their bets and ran these shows on both radio AND television.
